The Leadership Story

A journey defined by institutions, not titles.

Olabode's career began in the disciplines that reward precision, audit, internal controls, and financial reporting, where he learned early that credibility in finance is earned line by line. That grounding carried him into MTN Nigeria at a time when the country's telecommunications sector was being built in real time, and the demands on financial infrastructure were as ambitious as the market itself.

From telecommunications, he moved into healthcare, first at HealthPlus, Nigeria's leading pharmacy chain, then at SYNLAB Analytics & Services, the diagnostics arm of one of Europe's largest medical laboratory groups. Each seat sharpened a different edge of the executive craft: strategic finance, transformation, treasury, enterprise risk, and the governance rigour that regulated multinational operations require.

As Chief Financial Officer of Hygeia HMO, he now leads the financial stewardship of one of Nigeria's most established managed-care institutions, bringing together the strands of his career into a single office: capital, controls, governance, risk and long-horizon strategy, in service of healthier lives.

His approach is defined by three convictions: that finance exists to strengthen institutions, not merely to describe them; that governance is not paperwork but the operating system of trust; and that the best leadership is measured, deliberate and generous with the next generation.

Executive Values

The convictions that shape every decision.

·Governance
Institutions are made durable by the disciplines quietly practised inside them.
·Integrity
Numbers must always be able to withstand the scrutiny of a boardroom and a regulator.
·Strategic Thinking
Finance is most valuable when it clarifies choices, not when it multiplies reports.
·Leadership
The measure of a leader is the readiness of the team they leave behind.
·Continuous Development
Executive maturity is the compound interest of curiosity, practised over decades.
·Sustainable Growth
Enterprise value that outlasts its architects is the only kind worth building.
Decision-Making Approach

Slow where it matters. Decisive when it counts.

His decisions are shaped by evidence, tempered by governance and disciplined by long-term consequence. He is unhurried in framing the question, and resolute in acting on the answer, a rhythm that has served boards, investors and executive teams across cycles and sectors.

Professional Mission

To build institutions that outlast their architects.

To lend his experience to boards, executive teams and investors building enterprises of consequence, and to contribute, through governance and mentorship, to a generation of African finance leaders equal to the continent's ambitions.
